2026 -2027 Classroom Adoption
American teachers spend $800 out of pocket on average to stock their classrooms each year. Teachers purchase books, cleaning products, school supplies, and snacks to provide their students with the best environment for learning. Thanks to their sacrifice children facing hardships have the support and resources they need to focus on their schoolwork.
The Harrison Foundation's classroom adoption program includes a donation of funds or supplies plus a fundraising campaign for the classroom. We will adopt one middle school teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. To be eligible, teachers must teach at a middle school (grades sixth through eighth) in Northeast Houston, TX (former North Forest ISD area) or Huntsville ISD (TX). Teachers can apply directly or be nominated. Applications and nominations open May 4th and close June 5th. Voting is June 15th - July 10th and the winner will be announced July 20th.
