Classroom Support
The classroom is a critical and formative place. In addition to academic learning, children also develop social skills, self determination and so many more skills they need to achieve success in school and beyond. When families cannot afford all the supplies students need, this impacts more than just their grades. For decades teachers have used their personal funds to not only stock their classrooms; but help kids that would otherwise have no way to get the schools supplies and even personal care items they need to be ready and focused on learning.
The Harrison Foundation's Classroom Support initiative supports middle school teachers and students. This is a crucial age for learners and during these years they have needs that extend beyond basic pens, pencil, and paper. Our School Supply Drive and Classroom Adoption programs work to get instructors and students the traditional items and other goods needed for a successful school year.

Our school supply drive is a community event and fundraiser. We accept donations of items from the official published school district list and personal care items.
Through our classroom adoption program, we conduct community supply drives and crowd sourced fundraising to help teachers stock their classroom. Currently, this program is limited to one middle school teacher per year.

The Harrison Foundation is reaching out to the community to support teachers and students through our Classroom Support program. This program is not only for basic school supplies; but also, hygiene items such as deodorant, soap, and toothpaste. Our goal is to make sure that students and teachers have what they need to have a successful school year. The Harrison Foundation is inviting businesses and organizations in the community to donate or be a sponsor of Back-to-School Bingo. The fundraising goal for this event is $1,000. Funds raised will go toward hosting the event including venue rental, bingo prizes, decorations, and refreshments for attendees. A donation of just $100 will make a huge difference in making Back to School Bingo a success. A successful event will not only be a fun activity for the community; but more importantly help ensure that middle school students in need have the resources to learn and achieve this school year. All donors will have their organization recognized on our website and social media pages. Sponsors that donate $250 or more will also have the option to have their branding included on printed materials and promotional items as well as placement at Back-to-School Bingo.
